VANAMAHOTSAV:

The Annual ‘ VANA MAHOTSAV ‘ day was organized by the Science Department Teachers on 03/07/2023 on the school premises. The Event began with significance of Trees and Plants.
Importance of Holy plants . Our ancestors believed and worshipped trees. They associate the ‘ROOTS ‘ of the “Peepal Tree “ with the lord ‘Bramha’, the ‘ LEAVES ‘ with lord ‘SHIVA’ and ‘TRUNK’ with lord ‘VISHNU’ . ‘ TULSI’ as a symbol of goddess ‘PARVATHI’, ‘calotropis as symbol of lord ‘GANESHA’. Grade – 2 children performed oral talk on significance of plants.

The students showed great eagerness to participate in all activities. Several competitions like poster making , slogan writing and draws were conducted on the theme ‘ The importance of trees in everyday life ‘.
